Ben is now a three-time winner of Wisden Almanack’s Leading Men’s Cricketer in the World.
Earlier today, Wisden announced that Ben was the recipient of this prestigious award for his on-field performances - he previously received the honour in 2020 and 2021.
After being appointed England Test captain in early 2022, Ben was instrumental in rejuvenating the national side.
Under Ben’s leadership England were a team transformed. The habit of losing or drawing matches was replaced with unshackled winning performances. Playing exciting and entertaining cricket, England now boasts a current record of 10 victories from 13 Tests.
As well as helping to redefine Test cricket, Ben was the beating-heart of England’s 2022 T20 World Cup Final win. His unbeaten 52 being decisive in the 5 wicket win over Pakistan.
