Days after leading England to a 3-0 ODI series win over Pakistan, Ben began preparing for The Hundred.
Reflecting on his spell as England captain, Ben posted on Instagram that it was,
"a proud week for me to captain my country and play my 100th ODI. The way this group of lads played after coming together at such short notice was incredible."
Before the dust had settled on the ODIs against Pakistan, Ben turned to readying himself for The Hundred with Northern Superchargers.
The Hundred starts this Thursday (21 July). But the Superchargers must wait until Saturday 24 July before their campaign gets underway.
Commenting on The Hundred in June Ben said,
"we want to inspire the next generation of cricketers coming through - young boys and girls up and down the country, and all around the world."
There will be keen interest in how The Hundred unfolds and which players can adapt to this new format.
