Fourth Game in Six Days

When Durham took on Birmingham Bears on Saturday (26 June), Ben chalked up his fourth Vitality Blast game in six days. It was also the second time in six days that Durham have defeated the Bears.

In overcoming the Bears for the second time, Ben hit 35 with the bat before taking 4-27.

Durham were 9-2 when Ben and Cameron Bancroft (60) got the scoreboard moving.

Ben's 35 came off 20 balls and included 2 fours and 3 sixes. Two of these sixes coming off Carlos Braithwaite.

Chasing 165 the Bears were dismissed for 130 with Ben taking four wickets for 27 runs off 3 overs. His 4-27 was outside Ben's best Vitality Blast bowling return. Back in July 2018, he took 4 Worcestershire wickets for just 18 runs.

While not a record making performance, Ben is clearly returning to form after his injury.
