256 Runs

Over England’s final three World Cup matches Ben accumulated 256 runs.

While England will want to draw a line through the 2023 ODI World Cup, Ben ended the competition with scores of 64, 108 and 84.

Ben’s uptick in batting form began with a 90 ball 64 in the 33 run defeat to Australia.

Following this, Ben recorded his first ODI World Cup century (108) in the comfortable 160 run win against the Netherlands.

England’s final World Cup match gave them a second consecutive victory when defeating Pakistan. Again, Ben was in fine form with the bat, hitting 84 off 76 balls.

Next on Ben’s schedule is left-knee surgery. All indications suggest the operation will enable his return to bowling duties in 2024. After a period of rehabilitation, he will then lead England’s tour to India for the Test match series starting in January.
